Meaning of Draws in Betting
When the match ends and both teams have scored the same number of goals or haven’t scored any, it’s a draw. The draw option wins if the final score is level after 90 minutes, such as 0-0, 1-1, 2-2, etc. In cup tournaments and play-offs, where extra time and penalty shootouts are possible, only the main 90 minutes of the match count unless the bookmaker specifies otherwise.
These predictions often have high odds, usually above 3.00, but the prices can be higher than for a win because they reflect the uncertainty of predicting a level outcome. If you’re expecting a goalless draw, you can bet on a 0-0 score, and if you’re looking for a goal-filled draw, for example, 1-1, you can choose a draw + total over 1.5.
